Don't settle for an off-the-shelf logo...
It’s a great thing to live in a time where technology and choice offer us easy access to get something we really want, really quickly. More than that, very often it means we can get products and services without having to empty our pockets.
Great as that is, there are still some things that should be done thoroughly, carefully and thoughtfully. I believe branding a business or organisation is one of those things. Over the last few years graphic there has been an increasing approach whereby designers and stock libraries create ‘logos’ which are generic and they sell these on as templates for businesses to just ‘drop in their name’.
Apart from jumping up on my soapbox about the inadequecy of just having a logo vs branding, I think in ever growing markets and competition, brands deserve more attention and more thought behind their branding. Plus the reality is that more than one business could end up using that template for their logo.
